Welcome to Club Wrestling at UW-Madison!
This is Club Wrestling at UW-Madison, a wrestling club completely supported by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Recreational Sports and fully funded by the club's members. The club competes in the National Collegiate Wrestling Assocation (NCWA), an association which supports over 150 men's and women's club wrestling teams in colleges across the nation.
This club seeks to provide opportunities for wrestlers to continue their sport after high school, as well as welcoming and introducing beginners to one of the world's oldest sports.
We wish to provide opportunities to all UW students - men and women, old and young, undergraduates and graduate students - to join and participate in a sport that applies very greatly to other combat-oriented sports and activities.
How to Join
In order to join Club Wrestling at UW-Madison, you must:
- Be a student, faculty, or staff member at UW-Madison
- Carry health insurance, either through UW-SHIP or through an outside carrier
If you're interested and meet the two requirements above, please do the following (all must be completed before practicing or competing):
- Read and understand the club's constitution

- Complete the sign-up form

- Complete the NCWA Waiver and Release of Liability Form

- Complete the UW Rec Sports Club Membership Form for Club Wrestling

- Pay the club dues: $50 to both practice and compete or $20 to practice only. Payment may be made in cash, money order, or check. (Please make checks payable to Club Wrestling at UW-Madison.)
- Complete the Individual NCWA Wrestler Registration Form and pay an additional $25 fee required by the NCWA via credit card.
- Hand in the paper forms and check to either the club president or head coach before one of the meetings or practices.
